Integrating Community & Faith Based Healthcare Organizations into the Ecosystem of OUD Prevention & Care
The Tennessee Charitable Care Network (TCCN) and its members are integral to addressing Tennessee’s alarming opioid epidemic. Serving the low-income, uninsured, and underserved, community and faith-based providers (CFBs) provide primary care, dental, specialty care coordination, and services to address social needs. TCCN's Opioid Abatement project, beginning in 2024 and ending in June 2026, helps empower our member CFBs to take an active role in reducing Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) and increase prevention efforts by providing training and education on opioid misuse, encouraging clinics to adopt a screening tool for all patients, and utilizing Community Health Workers (CHWs) to help guide patients to treatment options when needed.
