2024: That's a Wrap!
That’s a wrap on TCCN’s 2024 Annual Conference, “Milestones of Hope: 10 Years of Compassionate Care.” Thank you to our generous sponsors, informative speakers and exhibitor partners for contributing to the event’s success. We are grateful to have shared three days of networking and learning together!
This year, we had two great tracks focusing on tools for clinic leaders and community health workers. We kicked-off on Tuesday with an amazing Welcome Reception with remarks by TDH Commissioner, Dr. Ralph Alvarado. Elizabeth Power (The Trauma-Informed Academy) provided our opening keynote address on Wednesday, helping us identify the connection between hope and compassion and how to cultivate these qualities in ourselves and our organizations. Dr. John Dentico provided great insights into leadership in uncertain times in his keynote address Wednesday afternoon. On Thursday the TCCN team presented a retrospective of TCCN’s first ten years in addition to some of our plans and hopes for the future. State Sen. Shane Reeves closed out the conference with an informative report on the shared challenges we face as part of the Health Care Safety Net, and how to effectively advocate to our legislators for the resources needed to meet those challenges.
This year’s conference also featured twelve unique workshops and a local clinic tour, as well as a fun evening mixer at Middle Ground Brewing on Wednesday evening featuring a competitive round of Trivia Time! Over 120 attendees were present throughout the event representing over 60 organizations, including TCCN members, sponsors, speakers, and exhibitors! We hope all attendees left with great ideas for their organizations, and a renewed sense of shared purpose and motivation to work toward new milestones in our next ten years!
