TCCN's Programs and Services
There are many free and charitable care organizations throughout the state of Tennessee that work independently to provide a vital source of healthcare for low-income, uninsured, and underserved Tennesseans. By working and learning together through TCCN, Member Organizations help strengthen this important part of the health care safety net. EDUCATION AND TRAINING TCCN ensures members are up to date on best practices in free and charitable care, nonprofit leadership, and other relevant topics through regular webinars, trainings, and an annual conference. FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES TCCN provides its members several grant opportunities to support their programs and services, to improve the health and quality of life of their patients. Some of our current grants to members include: Disparities - To improve health care services offered to low-income, uninsured, and underserved Tennesseans, especially those in rural areas, by providing communication strategies and technologies to help improve immediate uptake of the vaccine among hesitant populations. Community Health Worker - Allowed recipients to hire, train, and deploy Community Health Workers (CHWs) in order to build community resilience in combating COVID-19 through addressing existing health disparities in high-risk and vulnerable populations. Community Outreach - Promote COVID-19 vaccination efforts through education, outreach, and partnerships. NETWORKING TCCN provides regular opportunities for clinic executives, community health workers, and other staff to learn from each other in Peer Learning Groups and Regional Meetings. ADVOCACY TCCN helps serve as the policy and advocacy voice for free and charitable clinics through our annual Hill Day to raise awareness about the important role they serve in Tennessee's health care safety net. QUALITY IMPROVEMENT Quality Improvement Incentive Program - TCCN provides quality incentive training and technical assistance to members who are part of the health care safety net to support improvements in data collection and healthcare outcomes to improve health equity, especially in rural areas. Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program - TCCN helps promote health equity in breast and cervical cancer screening and diagnostics. |
